A New Season with Jesus

There are many “seasons” in our walk with Jesus. Sometimes, it is a time of blessings and promises, sometimes of Him taking us back through our past in order to heal us, sometimes it is a time of Him teaching us to put us where He wants us, and sometimes it is Him “giving” us to help others. The Scriptures have helped me to hold on, to heal, to learn, to change and to be able to give that hope to others. The Bible gives us everything that we have need of. All the questions we have are answered in the Bible, one way or another.

The Process of Healing

Have you ever had to go through something painful, something that left an open wound in your heart? Many of us have. But if we will allow Jesus to take us through the healing process, we find ourselves getting up from the altar with changed lives. No longer do we have big, open, gaping wounds, but we have allowed Jesus to apply a healing balm over those wounds and our lives will never be the same.

The Cost of Loving God

There is a cost to loving God. We want to pretend that this is a walk in the park. We go to church, we pay our tithes, maybe, we may even read our Bible. But has it come alive for you? To have a marriage that lasts, it takes more than “love”. It takes commitment, and faithfulness, and even submission to the other person. God tells us to be in His love, we have to obey His commandments. Most of us don’t want to put that much effort in a relationship, with God or even with each other. Jesus paid the ultimate price for us. The least we can do is love Him with everything in us, even when it costs us the things of this world.

When the Lord Moves

God has a promise for each of us, but He also has the perfect timing. In between the promise and the manifestation of that promise there is always a test to see if we will remain faithful. There is also a furnace of affliction to remove those things that would hinder us from being who God meant for us to be. Jesus came to give us life and life more abundantly, but the devil came to steal, kill and destroy. God told us to choose, to choose life or death, blessings or cursing. He then gave us instructions through His Word on how to walk with Him. He knows what, how and when. If we remain faithful, then when God moves, we will see His promise to us come to life.

Acting Abused After Being Abused

Somehow, we have found ourselves in an abusive situation. Whether the abuse happened in childhood or later in life, we struggle to come out of the abuse. We’ve come to believe that we have done something to deserve it. That is a lie of the devil. God does not make garbage! The devil is the only one who wants us to think bad of ourselves. He wants us to have low self-esteem and to believe we deserve to be abused. THE DEVIL IS A LIAR!!! God wants His children to be set free and to know His love!

A Miracle in the Life of a Christian

This world is full of torment and trouble. The enemy will go to any lengths to stop us from giving our hearts to Jesus. Even when we go to church, read our Bibles and pray, we can still miss the mark, and be off track. The miracle is that when we cry out to Jesus, and let Him work in us, He can and will fix our cracked mirror. He gives us hope and everything we need to get right with Him. He gives us His Truth and helps us even when we are blinded and deceived.

The God’s Honest Truth

Sometimes it is hard to face the truth about ourselves. It is also easier to see the faults of others rather than seeing the truth about us. Jesus is coming back for a church without spot, wrinkle or blemish. That means we need to let Him chastise and discipline us now. It will be a whole lot better than waiting until we stand before Him in judgment. If you see a fault in somebody else, pray about it, and then if God leads you to go talk to them about it, do it in the love of God and not in a judgmental, condemning way. If you do it to point a finger at them, just remember that if they walk away from God, their blood will still be on your hands as you stand before God. Love them, as you want to be loved.

His Strength Made Perfect in Weakness

When we go through trials and tribulations, we find we aren’t as strong as we thought we were. Our superhero powers have failed us, and we are left scrambling to figure out what to do, wondering how we are going to make it through. If we will cry out to Jesus, this is where we will find the strength to go through the fire. He promises to be our help. Isaiah 41:10 “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

The Importance of Submission

Submission is not a word many people want to hear. They want to live life their way, but until they submit as God commands us to do, they will never have true freedom. Jesus submitted Himself to the will of the Father and in so doing He destroyed the works of the devil. Once we learn true submission, we will find our lives transformed.
