A Letter to God
God is God. No matter our hurt or trauma or belief, no matter the lies of the devil, God is still God. After Job went through everything he did, he also realized that God is God.
Ignoring our past trauma doesn't make it go away. Jesus will walk us through the healing process to rewire our mind and body. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Abuse and trauma bring about a disconnect in our lives, which causes isolation, loneliness, and division. It keeps us from moving forward in our life, keeping us stuck, with no movement or progress. How do we get out of this?
God has had to show me His truth. The lies and deception of the enemy bombards us daily in this world. God is our Restorer, Creator, Savior and Redeemer. Only through Him can the busted lens we see through be healed, and only then can we see the truth.
The flesh warring against the Spirit is a real thing and it is the reason why many times we don't see victory in our life. God's Spirit is pure and holy. Ours comes from a broken, sin-filled world.
When God adopts us into His family, it can be life changing. He works in areas of our life such as our insecurities, distrust, doubt and unbelief. He makes us to be sons and daughters of the Most High God., royalty in fact!
The legacy left to us by our parents may need changed. Just because they were our parents doesn’t mean they did everything right. Sowing the same seeds they did, means we reap those seeds, good or bad. If we need a change in our life, we need to sow some different seeds.
Renewing our mind according to Scripture brings about transformation in our life. It brings life in a way that nothing else can do. Even when we have been beat down by the enemy, God is more powerful, and His Word is a two-edged sword the enemy cannot defeat.
We blame God for everything that happens to us, but He gives us the freewill to choose life or death, to hurt others or help them, and to choose whether or not to praise and worship Him. We make the choice, but God dictates the consequences.
God is faithful even in our trials, even when we don’t understand and all we want to do is to scream “why”. His Word is faithful in helping us through, but it requires something on our part. We have to trust Him and believe that He is who He says He is.
There is a difference between having confidence in who we are in Christ, and having pride that comes from the enemy. If the devil can get us feeling like we have no value or self-worth, we have opened a door for him to possibly destroy us. We won’t believe the Bible or be able to hear from God. We will stay in darkness and allow the devil to take over our lives. We must align our thoughts up with God’s Word in order to be set free.
It is hard to face reality when a person has endured trauma of any kind. It is easier to live in a fantasy world and deceive ourselves than to face the truth. But running away doesn’t allow us to heal. We get angry at God, but that doesn’t help anything. Becoming antagonist against God is stopping our deliverance and healing. This article helped describe what animosity is. It should help us repent and turn to our Creator for healing.
We are so used to what we see in our everyday lives, that we don’t think about our eternity. When we see and experience the things around us, it is hard to imagine and believe that this isn’t all there is. There is an unseen spiritual world that is making those things in our world happen. There is light and there is darkness. What we are walking in determines the outcome of what we see and experience. The devil is the “god” of this world, and God will allow bad things to happen, but sometimes it the choices we make that makes the difference. Jesus is the Light and we are to walk in that Light. That also can make a big difference in what happens in our lives.
Isaiah 53:4-5: 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.I was reading … Continue reading What Jesus did for us.
Not walking in reality can mean running from our hurts and trauma that we have gone through or running from our responsibilities in life. to not being real in our relationship with Jesus. When Jesus returns for His people, the only thing that will hinder us from spending eternity in Heaven, is not having a right relationship with Him. We can spend our life bent, broken and bruised but as long as we are right with Jesus, the rest won’t matter.
